The EDG is a financial assistance scheme designed to support local Singapore companies to grow, innovate or venture overseas under three pillars:
An in-depth interview with the business owner and stakeholders is held to firm up the brand strategy or brand refresh objectives. Various stakeholders are then involved in an internal and external brand audit to determine the brand’s current state.
After the reviews, we will formulate a sustainable brand strategy to reshape your brand in all its facets, including Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals and/or propose Community Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives that positively contribute to a sustainable brand.
Drawing from the insights gathered in Phase 1, we’ll refine your brand identity’s foundational components, including color schemes, typography, and logo. We’ll consolidate these elements into a unified mood board, ensuring alignment with your established brand dimensions and strategic positioning.
At this stage, our designers design a suite of marketing touchpoints and corporate collaterals based on the mood board and established identity for future execution.
Going forward, we’ll develop a comprehensive guide on utilising brand elements, empowering your company to maximise marketing resources and maintain consistency across all channels.
Lastly, optional services post-branding exercise would include stakeholder engagement, social media content strategy and design, events, and PR that would contribute to the business’s overall success.
According to Enterprise Singapore, there are three criteria you need to meet to be eligible for the grant:
The EDG funds qualify projects up to 50% of the costs, such as third-party consultancy fees, software and equipment and internal manpower costs. Information accurate as on 1 May 2024, please refer to EDG website for the latest updates and criteria.
The EDG grant application process considers projects that have not yet started.
The assessment is conducted by evaluating your specific needs, the scope of the project and the expertise of the service provider in enhancing your business capabilities.
Collaborate with your management consultants or suppliers to establish a timeline for your project. Remember that contracts and payments should only be finalised after the start date specified in your application.
It is not recommended to begin the project before receiving the Letter of Offer. However, it’s advisable to propose a longer project duration rather than a shorter one, as projects can span anywhere from three months to more than a year.
Step 3: Undergo an audit
Contact the EDG panel of auditors to request a quotation for audit services related to EDG claims.
Prepare all necessary documents, including receipts, bank statements, invoices and any other relevant supporting reports.
Once the audit report is ready, proceed to submit your claims along with all relevant supporting documents to your designated EDG account manager.
